How much does Clovo cost?

Clovo charges 1% of payments collected through the platform, capped at $1,100 + GST per year. There are no setup costs, no monthly fees, and no per-feature charges. You only pay when you process actual sales.

Are there any setup fees, monthly fees or hidden charges?

No. Clovo has no setup fee, no monthly subscription, and no per-feature fees. The only charges are 1% of payments collected (capped at $1,100 + GST per year) and standard Stripe transaction fees (1.7% + A$0.30) which Stripe takes directly. Pricing is transparent and capped.

Is the 1% Clovo fee really capped?

Yes. Once your studio has paid $1,100 + GST in Clovo fees in a financial year, you stop paying Clovo fees for the rest of that year — even if your studio keeps growing. This means there is a hard ceiling on what Clovo costs you, regardless of how much revenue you process.

What Stripe fees apply?

Clovo uses Stripe to process payments. Stripe charges 1.7% + A$0.30 per domestic card transaction in Australia. International cards are charged at Stripe's published international rates. Stripe fees are paid directly to Stripe and are not part of the Clovo fee.

Is there a long-term contract or commitment?

No. Clovo is month-to-month and you can stop using it at any time. Because there is no monthly subscription, you can also pause your studio for slow periods at zero cost — Clovo only charges when you collect payments.

Are there any contracts or commitments?

Let’s keep things casual. We don’t believe in locking people in like some of our competitors, you can leave us anytime if you want to see other vendors.

How do I get paid out?

Clovo will guide you through onboarding with Stripe shortly after initial studio setup. From there, you have complete control over your payouts.

Your first payout will take 7 days, following the initial 7 days your payouts are generally available the next business day.

Some payments are even eligible for Instant Payout.

Do my clients get charged to use Clovo?

Never! Your fee is taken from your side of the transaction in exactly the same way the payment processing fees you’re used to are.

Do I have to pay extra to unlock additional features?

No, your 1% covers every part of the standard Clovo account.

Enterprise clients who want their own App Store presence and icon pay a flat yearly fee on top of their 1% to cover the cost of Apple Developer and Google Play Store accounts that must be created and paid for by Clovo to facilitate that.

Does Clovo hold my money?

Your money stays in your Stripe account from the moment it’s paid in by your customer until the moment it’s paid out to you. Meaning you are 100% in control from start to finish.

What happens after I reach the $1100 + GST cap?

Once your Clovo fees add up to $1100 + GST in a 12-month period, you stop paying Clovo for the rest of that year. Stripe’s standard fee still applies.
